Roman">1) When I try to get the venous blood traces I can’t find voxels in
the medium grey range (55-75) on the T1 image. The whole images seem too
dark and the values I get in the lateral dural sinuses are about 35 – 45.
However, I am getting a good segmentation with these images. Is this a valid
segmentation? Where could this problem come
from?<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>

the brain when I do the realignment on the sagittal image. These cuts are
generally small but sometimes they affect to five or six slice on the image.

Roman">3) We are working in a longitudinal study with schizophrenia
patients. We get two magnetic resonances on each patient (one when the
patient is diagnosed with schizophrenia and other one year later). There is
an option in the Brains2 toolbar (workup > Run Air > Longitudinal) to
work with longitudinal studies but is not available in our computers. To get
the analysis I align the second T1 image in the normal way and I fit it to
the T1 resampled image of the first MR. Then I get the T1/T2 fit and
segmentation in the normal way. Finally I use the brain.zroi I got in the
first MR, check that this ROI fits the image and run the segmentation
volumes. Working<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>this way I get
significant <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>differences in the
grey matter volumes in the occipital box. We would not expect these
differences so I was wondering if the analysis done in this way is wrong or
there is a reason for these differences<o:p></o:p></FONT></FONT></SPAN></P>
