Hi Bonnie,<div><br></div><div>The mrtrix.conf file is not created by the install process, so it just won't exist unless you specifically create it yourself. In your case, you can do this by copy/pasting the following command line into a terminal:</div>
<div><br></div><div>echo "NumberOfThreads: 4" > ~/.mrtrix.conf</div><div><br></div><div>You can also use any text editor to do the same job if you feel more comfortable with that.<br>Cheers,</div><div><br></div>

<div>Â </div>
<div>I'm using a quad-core processor, with the 0.2.9 win32 version of MRtrix, and wanting to specify the multithreading in the mrtrix.conf file. I can't find this file on my computer though, either in the system or user locations listed in the documentation. Could you please let me know if this is likely to be something about permissions settings for my user account (in which case I'll direct this question to an administrator when I can find one!), or if the name, location or anything else about the file has changed? </div>
<div>Â </div>
<div>Thanks very much, </div>
