The National Alliance for Medical Image Computing is working to develop a software engineering
framework that allows developers to deploy neuroimaging solutions built on a modular
cross-platform system.  The NITRC site is providing a critical infrastructure for hosting
these solutions and NA-MIC is working hard to enable automatic download and install tools
so users can easily make use of these modules in the 3D Slicer application software.
