The data of about 4k individuals will be provided for training. The accuracy of each method will be assessed on its predicted fluid intelligence scores of 6K children, whose actual scores will be revealed after the challenge deadline. Downloading the data needs prior approval by NIH NDAR, which will require sign off by the institution you are affiliated with. So start the application process early. Please also sign up to the emailing list to receive updates about the challenge.

Dataset and Instructions will be available December 15, 2018.
Team registration deadline is January 15, 2019.
Submission deadline is March 10, 2019.

Learn more: https://sibis.sri.com/abcd-np-challenge/ Challenge Competitions Collection Abby Paulson Tue, 11 Dec 2018 1:51:31 GMT Predictive Analytics in Mental Health Competition has begun! http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=8242 We are very happy to officially announce the start of this year's Predictive Analytics in Mental Health Competition (PAC) organized by the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Group at the Laboratory for Translational Psychiatry at the University of Münster, Germany.

In an effort to bring together machine learners, neuroimagers, and clinicians, we invite you to develop machine learning models which correctly label previously unknown datasets as stemming from either depressive or healthy individuals based on structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (sMRI) data. The team submitting the model that most successfully classifies previously unseen datasets will win this year's PAC and be invited to present their model at the Annual Meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (https://www.humanbrainmapping.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageID=3821) in Singapore in June 2018.

The data for this competition - comprising sMRI datasets from N=2240 subjects with and without depression - was provided by the Translational Psychiatry Group. Thanks to Prof. Dannlowski's amazing team in Münster (https://www.medizin.uni-muenster.de/translap/forschung/).

All details including the timeline and registration instructions can be found at www.photon-ai.com --> "PAC 2018". Also, make sure to join our PAC 2018 Slack channel to get to know other teams now. After all, the opportunity to network with and connect to machine learning researchers across disciplines is what the PAC is all about!

Sincerely,
Tim Hahn
and the The PAC Team Challenge Competitions Collection Abby Paulson Fri, 09 Feb 2018 1:38:17 GMT Call for Nominations for the OHBM Replication Award http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=7940 The Organization for Human Brain Mapping has announced a Call for Nominations for the Replication Award. The OHBM Replication Award recognizes the best replication study and highlights OHBM’s commitment to reproducibility in neuroimaging research and helps begin to reshape the incentives towards replication.

More information about the Call for Nominations and the Replication Award can be found here:

https://www.humanbrainmapping.org/files/2018/Replication%20Award%20wording.pdf

Nominations are due by Friday, January 12, 2018.
