New release of MRIcron

MRIcron v1.0.20190902 updates the dcm2niix DICOM importer and provides drag and drop support for DICOM files (and many other popular neuroimaging formats). MRIcron will run on a wide range of computers and does not require OpenGL. Users with modern computers that support OpenGL should consider upgrading to the more powerful MRIcroGL (https://www.nitrc.org/projects/mricrogl/).

This is a minor release, mostly focused on keeping dcm2nii compatible with the latest scanner formats. MRIcron now supports drag-and-drop viewing of more formats including NIfTI (.nii, .nii.gz, .hdr/.img), Bio-Rad Pic (.pic), NRRD, Philips (.par/.rec), ITK MetaImage (.mhd, .mha), AFNI (.head/.brik), Freesurfer (.mgh, .mgz), basic DICOM (extensions vary).
