Dear SPHARM-PDM users:

I am very glad to announce we have updated the SPHARM-PDM Slicer extension. The new tutorial for this new and improved version can be found here: https://github.com/bpaniagua/SPHARM-PDM/raw/add-Tutorial2017/Modules/Scripted/ShapeAnalysisModule/Resources/Doc/SPHARM-PDM-Tutorial.pdf.

SPHARM-PDM is also disseminated now as part of SlicerSALT. Questions for SPHARM-PDM will be replied from now on in the new discourse SlicerSALT forum (https://discourse.slicer.org/c/community/slicer-salt).

Thank you so much for your support!
Best regards,
SPHARM-PDM User Survey

Dear SPHARM-PDM Community

The SPHARM-PDM team is working towards requesting funds to maintain our current shape tools as well as enhancing it with other interesting functionality such as improved statistics or shape analysis for non-spherical topology objects. Within this proposal we also include improved dissemination efforts: workshops in clinical and methodological conferences, video tutorials and more. These are exciting times for us!

As part of that work, we want to estimate the size of our user community. It is crucial for us to show that the scope of our efforts has reached and will continue reaching many people.

If you have used the tool, published papers with it, or you know somebody that has done so, please let us know. Please fill a survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XT3LWRQ

Thank you!
The SPHARM-PDM team
ShapePopulationViewer v1.0.0 released!

The SPHARM-PDM team in collaboration with the Neuro Image Research and Analysis Laboratory (NIRAL http://www.med.unc.edu/psych/research/niral) is happy to announce the release of the ShapePopulationViewer (http://www.nitrc.org/projects/shapepopviewer/). ShapePopulationViewer is a software that allows dynamic interaction with multiple surfaces at the same time. It is very useful for visualization and comparison of 3D surfaces, and it works very well for quality control of SPHARM results.

This is the first release, but we anticipate more and exciting functionalities to be added to the program.

Looking forward to your feedback!
Sincerely

We will keep you up to date with new developments.
SPHARM-PDM Particle Module

Particle Module is a SPHARM-PDM functionality that uses SPHARM-PDM computed correspondent point-based models as initialization for the entropy-based particle correspondence pipeline in ShapeWorks. Now when downloading SPHARM-PDM toolbox and compiling Particle Module, ShapeWorks will download from its own repository and compile as well, since it has been added to the general SuperBuild as an external project.

Please feel free to ask any questions, or to provide any feedback about ParticleModule.
