NIMH Data Archive / National Database for Autism Research Latest NewsComputational Credits are Available
http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=8358
The NIMH Data Archive (NDA) is committed to providing access to data of interest to the research community for both primary and secondary analysis. However, many of the datasets in NDA have become too large for most laboratories to download and store. As a result, NDA is working to develop more efficient methods for query, enabling scientists to acquire and compute directly on small enough datasets.

NDA has a program enabling those with approved access to apply for computational credits/support, helping move computation to where the data resides. Approval is subject to NIH review. For more information on this program, please select the link:
http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=8357
NDA is hosting upcoming training webinars to instruct users how to submit data.

These training webinars are
STRONGLY SUGGESTED FOR FIRST TIME SUBMITTERS
as well as those who would like a refresher.

Data definitions are due prior to June 1st. Starting early in the preparation process saves time, makes data submission easier, and allows time if you need assistance.

The webinars will include the full submission process from the initial paperwork to the successful upload.
http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=8275
The NIMH Data Archive (NDA) is pleased to announce data from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study (www.abcdstudy.org) first annual release is now available.

This inaugural annual data release contains unprocessed neuroimaging data from ~4,500 research participants aged 9-10 years old, as well as all non-imaging assessment data from the physical and mental health, neurocognition, substance use, biospecimens and culture and environment domains, including:
- High-resolution structural data (3D T1 - and T2-weighted scans)
- Advanced diffusion MRI (multiple b-values and directions)
- Resting State fMRI
- Task fMRI (Monetary Incentive Delay, Stop-Signal, and Emotional N-Back), along with raw E-Prime task files for each fMRI run

If you are mainly interested in the phenotypic, clinical, and data derived from MRI images, you should navigate to the pre-prepared packages section of the NDA and use the NDA "Download Manager" tool to initiate download of the 3GB dataset. The query tool can also be used to download a subset of that data.

The raw MRI images and the minimally processed imaging files are over 30TB in size which may make data transfer difficult. To access those images, you can apply for Computational Credits and compute on the data in the cloud without downloading the needed files in their entirety (see link). You can also use the query tool to find a subset of the data that are directly relevant to your research questions and download that subset as needed. Finally, if you feel that you really need the full imaging data please contact the NDA help desk (ndahelp@mail.nih.gov) to obtain help in getting the data that you need.

For additional guidance, review our soon to be available tutorial at abcd.nih.gov, or attend an upcoming webinar on ABCD Data Access (sign up below). The entire annual release can be found 10.15154/1412097 or by navigating to NDA Collection 2573 and selecting download to package data. For those that may not already have access, the instructions to request access are available here.NIMH Data Archive / National Database for Autism ResearchDavid KennedyThu, 22 Feb 2018 2:10:38 GMTAdolescent Brain Cognitive Development Study (ABCD)
http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=7525
The Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study (www.abcdstudy.org), the largest long-term study of brain development and child health in the United States, has partnered with the NIMH Data Archive (NDA) to share ABCD Study data with the public on an ongoing basis.

This inaugural data release contains unprocessed neuroimaging data from participants aged 9-10 years old, as well as basic participant demographics (age, sex), including:
* High-resolution structural data (3D T1 - and T2-weighted scans)
* Advanced diffusion MRI (multiple b-values and directions)
* Resting State fMRI
* Task fMRI (Monetary Incentive Delay, Stop-Signal, and Emotional N-Back), along with raw E-Prime task files for each fMRI run
Neuroimaging data were collected using a harmonized Human Connectome protocol, developed for the ABCD Study, and supported across all three major MRI scanner platforms (Siemens, General Electric, and Philips).

The ABCD Study is designed to include a diverse population that reflects the demographics of the U.S., however these interim data may not capture that diversity as enrollment is not yet complete. These Fast Track data also have not undergone quality control or curation. Curated data, including derived measures and associated computational analysis pipelines, will be released as Versions on an annual basis through NDA, starting in December 2017.

Researchers interested in requesting access to these and other NDA shared data may do so by going to the ABCD.nih.gov and requesting access there. NIMH Data Archive / National Database for Autism ResearchDavid KennedyMon, 19 Jun 2017 12:32:32 GMTSCID-IV Dataset Now Available

A unique dataset is now available for access in RDoCdb. With support from NIMH, Telesage Inc. has developed the NetSCID, an electronic method for administering the SCID. A set of almost two thousand de-identified SCID-IV records is now shared in RDoCdb [1].
http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=6348
Researchers submitting data to the NIMH Data Archive can begin uploading their second submission of 2016 when ready. Cumulative data submissions, or valid requests for exemption, are expected by July 15th. You can provide a justification for exemption in your project Collection's Data Expected tab. For new users, or experienced users interested in a refresher, training opportunities are also available. In an upcoming series of webinars, NDA staff will demonstrate how to harmonize and upload data, and go over the submission process generally. Each session will cover the same material, so please register for your preferred date and time:
