About Hardi
Dear all,
is it possible to have diffusion gradient file and b-values of diffusion scan for HARDI data?
Thak you very musch

RE: About Hardi
Dear Luca,

First, let me make sure you realize that the diffusion gradient file is different for each voxel. For more information, please see Varentsova et al. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24440528
This means that the diffusion gradient file is not compatible with existing HARDI software packages.
Please let us know if you are still interested in this file.

Regards,
Konstantinos

RE: About Hardi
Dear Konstantinos,
I'm trying to use hardi data with another software, brainsuite.
For use hardi data in .nii I need also to know diffusion gradient file and b-values file.
Could you give me file?
Luca

RE: About Hardi
Hi Luca,

What we have uploaded is FODs and not diffusion-weighted (DW) data. The reason is that to get to FODs from our DW data you need to be able to read our diffusion gradient file (this is what you are looking for). However, the way we constructed the HARDI template, each voxel has a different diffusion file. This means that users would not be able to use our DW data to reconstruct FODs with any existing software, because none of the existing software would be able to read our diffusion-gradient file. So we eliminated this step by doing the reconstruction for you, and released the FODs. If you would like to display and use our FODs in MRtrix, please read this manual we have prepared and which can be downloaded from the Docs link:
http://www.nitrc.org/docman/view.php/432...

In brief, you will not be able to use our DW data and gradient files in brainsuite (not compatible). But if you can use the reconstructed FODs we have uploaded then you are set.

I hope this helps,
Konstantinos
