Hello All BRAINS users,
I am very excited to announce that a new version of BRAINS is available for
download.
This release has too many improvements to mention here. The main themes of
the improvements are better platform independence and stability across
platforms. There is now a working MacOSX release! New features and new
commands are discussed on the brains-users at psychiatry.uiowa.edu.
Steps for users without a BRAINS account:
1) Visit http://www.psychaitry.uiowa.edu/BRAINS/
2) Create a user account by following the steps on the screen
3) Agree to the license
4) You will receive an email giving you your login information to the files,
the wiki, the bugtracker database, and CVS access.
5) Follow the instructions in the email to log in.
Any problems or questions should be mailed to
brains-users at psychiatry.uiowa.edu
Regards,
Hans J. Johnson
PS: Making external releases of BRAINS is a tremendous effort, and we are
in a perpetual grant writing mode trying to find ways to fund that effort.
If you are using BRAINS as part of your research, please drop me an e-mail
at hans-johnson at uiowa.edu describing the grants that use BRAINS and the
project it is being used for. This is a great help when justifying our need
for robust distributable software.
