Works a treat, thanks!   It had some library dependency hang-ups (my tool 
chain was slightly later due to an update or two) and I niaively thought 
that symlinks would fix it.  But no.   So that's why the --nodeps option 
was put into rpm, I guess :-)   Anyway it installed successfully and runs 
despite embarassingly elderly hardware.   In fact it speaks heaps for the 
work you folks have done on its innards - very snappy even on a 
memory-impoverished, 550MHz P-III   Must get my hands on a better video 
card though :-)

Now that's taken the heat off finding out why my Insight won't build, so 
I'll be a bit more relaxed while troubleshooting.   Will feed back anything 
useful.
