This message sequence is quite normal. BRAINS is a package which is
constantly under development/expansion, so the programmers like some
verbosity :-) The only message of interest is
> WARNING: brains2 configuration file (/home/ninad/.brains2rc) not found
You are not required to have your own "personal" configuration file.
However, it is worth a few minutes to go read the default configuration
file /opt/brains2/bin/brains2rc. If your site has some regions which
several people will be tracing, edit or add a line similar to the line,
B2_EVAL_TCL "B2_cran_ROI_DEFAULTS"...
Simply replace "cran" with your region's name.
If you want to change the initial layout of BRAINS,
nedit ~/.brains2rc
Copy the lines B2_VIEWERS_INITIAL_LAYOUT from the default config into
~/.brains2rc and edit the LAYOUT. A "#" at the beginning of a line
makes it a comment, i.e. ignored.
All sorts of customizing you can do, just takes a bit to figure out which
lines to edit.
