ReproNim 'First Fridays' Webinar – Friday, May 3, at 2pm Eastern Time

Our featured webinar speaker this month is ReproNim faculty member JB Poline<https://www.mcgill.ca/neuro/jean-baptiste-poline-phd> (McGIll), who will address the question of “How should the next generation of neuroinformatics tools be developed?”

JB’s work encompasses a multi-faceted approach to enabling rigorous, highly collaborative multi-disciplinary brain research around the globe, and his endeavors promote open and reproducible research at many different levels. In his NeuroDataScience<https://neurodatascience.github.io/about.html> research group, these efforts focus directly on the interface of neuroimaging data science with neuroinformatics. This vision extends to innovative transdisciplinary collaborations through the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics & Mental Health<https://www.mcgill.ca/statisticalgenetics/ludmer-centre> that utilize innovative big-data research to understand both normal and abnormal brain development. In addition, JB has longstanding contributions and current leadership roles in the development of infrastructure for both data management (NeuroHub<https://www.mcgill.ca/hbhl/neurohub>) as well as open science workflows and data sharing (Canadian Open Neuroscience Platform (CONP)<https://conp.ca/>, so he brings a very broad perspective to his work.
