ReproNim 'First Fridays' Webinar – Friday, June 7, at 2pm Eastern Time
Our featured webinar speaker this month is our own ReproNim faculty member Yaroslav Halchenko<https://pbs.dartmouth.edu/people/yaroslav-o-halchenko-0> (Dartmouth), whom many of you already know! Yarik shares some of his wealth of expertise for computational problem solving for data processing and analysis of complex data, with a discussion of Automated data capture for various experimental parameters, including current work on tools such ReproEvents and ReproStim.
While many of you may know of Yarik through some of his many projects, he wears many hats! His work notably addresses reproducibility, open source science, data integrity and data handling at all levels, from acquisition to analysis to data sharing, tracking and management. He is a strong advocate for open source science, and the Founding Director for the Center for Open Neuroscience<http://centerforopenneuroscience.org/>, with overarching attention to data integrity, reproducibility, scalability and collaborative efforts, including work with very large data sets. As a lead on DataLad<https://www.datalad.org/>, Yarik’s work encompasses rigorous version control for both data and code, as well as providing a platform for data access, management, and deployment to data sharing platforms such as openneuro.com. Yarik’s development efforts also include a Python-based framework for neural de-coding (PyMVPA<http://www.pymvpa.org/>), as well as the DANDI<https://dandiarchive.org/> platform, for publishing, sharing and processing a variety of neurophysiological data, and the NeuroDebian<https://neuro.debian.net/> platform for research software.
