In Frontiers of Computational Neuroscience, researchers investigated which connectivity between neuronal populations allows or prohibits zero-lag synchrony. They obtained analytical results and computer simulations for both type I Mirollo–Strogatz neurons and type II Hodgkin–Huxley neuron.
