model .pos file creation
Hi all,

I have started to use HOMER2 a few weeks ago.
I would like to create a .pos file using an excel one containing only the x-y-z coordinates of 10 sources and 8 detectors ( the 2x3x3.pos sample file contains additional information .... )
Is that possible ?

Regards

Thanks for your question - it's great to see people are still using the script!

Really all HOMER2 wants out of the pos file is the x, y and z co-ordinates so it should be relatively simple to switch your co-ordinates into the relevant x, y and z on the pos file I distributed. The rest is directional information that I'm fairly sure HOMER2 doesn't use. Are you using two 3*3 arrays? If so, then use that file - if it's a different configuration, let me know and I'll see what I've got.
Does that make sense?

Hello Rebecca,

First of all, thanks for your prompt and positive reply.
Concerning the optodes configuration , we are indeed using two 3*3 arrays.
Is there a tool that could allow me to edit a .pos file ?

Regards

David

Hello David,

You should be able to open it in any text editor, e.g. wordpad.

Cheers,

Rebecca
