art_motionregress (ArtRepair)
Hi experts,
I am using ArtRepair to clean up noisy data before reaching the General Linear Model (GLM) with SPM12. I would be very grateful if you could help me with the following question.
Do I have to apply art_motionregress on all subjects, even if they don't have many movement artifacts?
In case it wasn't necessary to apply art_motionregress in all subjects, is it correct to do the preprocessing in two different ways depending on that?
(Note: I am asking this because in case of applying art_motionregress, the images are already corrected by the movement and I don't have to add the .txt file created in the realignment that includes the data related to the movement as a regressor in the first level analysis. On the other hand, if I don't apply art_motionregress, I have to add this .txt file as a regressor in the first level analysis. The question I have is whether it's correct to apply different procedures in the same sample depending on the number of artifacts caused by the movement there is).
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Marina.
