Sharing and Discovering Data and Neuroscience Resources Posted By: David Kennedy - Nov 17, 2008Tool/Resource: Conferences, Workshops and Meetings Satellite/Ancillary Event Details Sharing and Discovering Data and Neuroscience Resources Through The Neuroscience Information Framework. Location: Washington Convention Center Room: 148 Monday, November 17, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Sharing data across a research community adds tremendous value to the efforts of that community. An initiative of the NIH Blueprint for Neuroscience Research, the Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) will advance neuroscience research by enabling discovery and access to public research data and tools through an open source dynamic inventory of neuroscience databases, annotated and integrated with a unified system of biomedical terminology. NIF supports concept-based queries across multiple scales of biological structure and multiple levels of biological function, making it easier to search for and understand the results. This social will provide information for researchers interested in utilizing NIF and in working with NIF to make their resources discoverable through the framework. Contact: Jeffrey S.
