The National Cancer Institute and the NIH Pain Consortium will host a Neuropathic Cancer Pain Symposium on April 27, 2009 at the Bethesda Marriott Pooks Hill in Bethesda, Maryland.

The Neuropathic Cancer Pain Symposium will bring together a multi-disciplinary group of researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates to build upon our knowledge and understanding of the role of pain and pain management in cancer care. This symposium seeks to address the knowledge gap in the area of neuropathic pain associated with cancer, due to the underlying disease, as well as therapy, and will include plenary sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities for networking.
