Hi,
Quick question concerning the ventricle template provided: How was this template created (what sample and software were used)? Also, would higher quality output result from the use of an adult template in the case of an older sample of participants?
Thanks,
Maddy

The atlas of lateral ventricle was generated using warping from the
atlas of 1-year-old and then applied the morphological operation
(e.g. dilation and erosion) in order to cover the whole ventricle
area. The warping field was generated using ANTS. If you have
a more suitable ventricle mask (e.g. the age or specific group
matching), the more accurate esCSF would be obtained. For example,
if your data set is fully matured age, you might be better using
the own ventricle mask of that period.

RE: Templates
Hi,
I've got another question: how does the ventricle template differ from a general template generated from the ANTs buildtemplateparallel.sh script? Along these lines, could the template.nrrd file in the 1-yr-old atlas (provided in the documentation) be used as the ventricle template?
Thanks,
Maddy
