Imaging Genomics Session Proposal: PSB 2018
Dear All,
We organized an Imaging Genomics Session at PSB 2017 in January. The session was successful, and the proceedings are publicly available at http://psb.stanford.edu/psb-online/proce... and indexed in Medline. In addition to the oral presentations, we had a fun and fruitful one-hour discussion session led by six expert panelists.
The existing imaging genomics related meetings, workshops and tutorials (e.g., IIGC, MICGen@MICCAI, and IG-Session@OHBM) are often targeted towards the medical imaging audience. As the field of Imaging Genomics contains a significant genomics (or omics in general) component in addition to biomedical imaging, we feel that it is timely to address this important, relevant and emerging topic at major bioinformatics conferences such as PSB.
Thus, we plan to propose a new Imaging Genomics Session for PSB 2018, to be held January 3-7, 2018 on the Kohala Coast, the Big Island of Hawaii. To strengthen our proposal, we will include a list of potential contributors in our proposal application. If you are interested in contributing a paper or an abstract to such a session, I would appreciate your letting me know at shenli@iu.edu so that I can include you in our list of potential contributors.
Note that the PSB proceedings is an archival, peer-reviewed publication, and PSB publications are indexed in Medline.
Thanks very much for taking time to read my message.
Best,
Li Shen
