Slow loading of high resolution tiles
Hi,
I have recently been using HistoloZee to align histology slices to each other and to MRI. It's such a useful tool - thank you for making it available!
I have been having trouble with higher resolution tiles loading very slowly. I am using HistoloZee v0.3 on a MacBook Pro running Catalina with 8GB of RAM and a 3.1 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 processor. The higher resolution image does load eventually (on the timescale of minutes) but I have other histology viewing software which can zoom up and down in scale much faster than this due to the pre-loaded tiered resolution .svs file type. I have attached an image of what the app looks like while it is loading. I had thought that perhaps I needed to allocate more RAM to HistoloZee for this to load faster, but I find that nothing pops up when I choose Preferences in the dropdown menu and so don't know how I can access the settings. Do you know of anything I can do to speed up the high resolution tiles loading?
Let me know if you need any further information about the problem.
Many thanks for your help,
Sarah
