I am aware of using the whole brain fMRI studies for a meta-analysis. However, there are potential studies useful for inclusion but they use regions of interests (ROI) or voxels of interests (VOI) analyses. Is it appropriate to include these ROI or VOI based studies in the meta-analysis using ROI or VOI as a covariate?
