AFNI Workshop 2012
I
am considering moving our next AFNI training workshop at the NIH to
a much larger room that can hold 100+ people. In this way, we could
accommodate a significant number of non-NIH people, since I would
expect about 40-50 NIH attendees.
One caveat is that this is a conference center, not a computer classroom, and so attendees would have to come with their own laptops with AFNI and the course materials pre-installed. We will provide instructions on how to do this, but will not be able to install it all for you when you arrive, since we don't have the staff do this for so many people.
There would be no charge for attendance, but there would also be no subsidies -- people would have to pay for their own travel and lodging and meals.
I want to collect a list of potential non-NIH attendees, in order to assess the demand for such a course and to build an e-mail list. The time frame is either the first week of Feb 2012 or the last week of Mar 2012. Alternatively, some weeks in Sep and Oct 2012 are available. If you are interested in getting on the mailing list for this potential AFNI-fest, please send e-mail to Karen Dutton at
duttonk@mail.nih.gov and use the subject AFNI Workshop 2012
Also indicate which of the time frames I've indicated is workable for you (the more the better, of course):
Feb, Mar, Sep, or Oct 2012
