The ATAG atlas is an atlas of the:
1) striatum (STR)
2) globus pallidus internal segment (GPi)
3) globus pallidus external segment (GPe)
4) red nucleus (RN)
5) substantia nigra (SN)
6) subthalamic nucleus (STN)
7) periaqueductal grey (PAG)

The atlas contains probabilistic spatial information based on 30
young, 14 middle aged and 10 elderly subjects. Both hemispheres are
included separately and the atlas have the following versions:
Linear vs Nonlinear: The linear version is registered using only
linear registration algorithms whereas the nonlinearly version was
optimized using a nonlinear registration algorithm.
