Hi Katherine,

I'm passing this on to Ron Pierson, who deals with the reliability lists
here - also I'm sending it to the brains users' list...it seems like
something that could easily come up at other locations.

Hello Helen,
This is Katherine Bayless (from Wisconsin; formerly of Peg's lab).
We've had some staff changes in the past year, and our new computer
supervisor has had to essentially start with no training whatsoever. I
have been training a student from Rosalind Franklin in IL to do standard
processing, and the issue of reliability was raised. When everyone in
our lab was trained several years ago, our former computer supervisor
gave us each 10 scans for reliability; he told us they were from "the
gold standard set, from Iowa". Now that it is time to get more people
reliable, no one has any idea where these scans are. Is there a gold
standard set that we can use from Iowa? If not, what scans should we be
using as a gold standard? If you could help me out, I would really
appreciate it. I hope you're having a good New Year!

Thanks,
Katherine Bayless
