Dear Omer,

I took a look at your DICOM images. The T2 and PD images appear to be
affected by small head movement and strong eye movement artifacts.
There are examples how to rate the movement artifacts on the BRAINS
programmers site. Have a look at

http://www.psychiatry.uiowa.edu/mhcrc/IPLpages/qa_main.htm

Movements artifacts are mainly avoided by

- carefully instructing the subject to lay down in a relaxed manner,
to keep the eyes closed, to not move any part of the body during the
measurement ,
- a perfect mounting of the subjects head (not to tight to avoid
unpleasantness, relaxed position),
- keeping contact to the subject between the session,
- not to deliver music via headphones,
- and avoiding long sessions (if possible: split into small sessions)

T1 seems a bit diffuse. Since the symphony is - as all siemens
devices in my humble opinion - a quite robust device, I guess you
could improve your results by better "head mounting", a better SHIM,
and maybe using a certain sequence or certain parameters (slice
thickness etc). furthermore you could ask for the regular service
date and meet the service - ask if he/she could have a look at the
pics and ask for some advices to better the quality.

We are gathering our data even on a quite old device (vision).
However, the data fulfill our quality requirements.

Best regards

Christoph
