Unfortunately, the answer is no.
The BRAINS software package is released to the public in the hope
that other researchers may find it useful.  Our department has no
funding for providing phone support.  The 'brains-users' mailing
list is intended to provide a forum for users to help users solve
problems.  Your problem may have been addressed, try

If BRAINS runs, opens and displays images, and otherwise allows
user interaction, it is probably installed correctly.

Some of the functions in BRAINS are geared specificly to work here
at the Univeristy of Iowa and will not function properly elsewhere.

Of course, you're free to hack the code yourself.
