Ratings/Long-term Prospects Comments: |
This program has is outstanding when it comes to processing DTI images. It is easy to use, fast, and it does exactly what it advertises with impressive precision. Installation is easy enough and the website has really useful instructions in case anybody gets stuck. Documentation obtained from the command-line could be better but I'm still giving the highest rating because the online documentation more than makes up for that, particularly the tutorials; also, the developer of the software is always willing to provide support whenever a question arises that one cannot answer from the website/documentation alone. The developer always replies promptly and with clear answers to any questions, which in my opinion makes an already excellent program even better. |

Do take the time to go over the tutorials, they are really helpful to get the hang of the program, especially if you're relatively new to DTI. I have used both Camino and FSL along with DTI-TK. Again, as long as you follow the tutorials you shouldn't have any issues transitioning to DTI-TK(pay attention to things such as diffusivity units, tensor format i.e. lower vs. upper triangular, etc). |
