Extract weighted time series from secondary dataset or functional data?

Dear CONN experts,

I was wondering what the default behavior of the CONN toolbox for extracting ROI data is. To me, it seemed like average time series are extracted from unsmoothed secondary datasets whereas weighted time series are extracted from (smoothed) functional data. Is that correct or did I by mistake change any settings without noticing?

Thanks a lot!

RE: Extract weighted time series from secondary dataset or functional data?

Dear Jasmin,

In general all ROIs by default are extracted from the "unsmoothed" secondary dataset, but you are right that there are some exceptions, like when defining ROIs from ICA results, where those are defined from the smoothed volumes for consistency with the original ICA analyses.

Hope this helps

Alfonso
