Dear Alfonso,
after updating to the new conn version 2407, I have similar
problems with my local laptop (matlab version 2023a) with the font
as I described before (jul 4, 2024). When I change the font in the
file
conn_font_file.txt some parts of the conn window will be changed
like Basic, Structural, Functional ... according to the listed font
in the conn_font_file.txt (I tested Courier New and it
worked).
However, other parts (see attachment) are not readable at all on my
local laptop.
I have the same problem with remote access, even the IP number
(i.e. @99.9.999.99) is not readable in the conn window.
On the server I don't have this problems with the new conn version
(i.e. BASIC INFORMATION is readable). Is there another file to
define the font? With conn22a I don't have this problems at
all.
Best
Ralf
Dear Ralf,
I imagine updating to the latest version would have reset the conn_font_names.txt to its default state, sorry about that. Have you tried deleting again the Helvetica font from the conn_font_names.txt file in the CONN distribution folder to see if that fixes this issue? If the changes resulting from changing the fonts in this file seem to appear only to some part of the GUI, try using "clear conn_menu" before reloading CONN to see if that helps.
Best
Alfonso

Dear Alfonso,
actually I modified the conn_font_names.txt file and deleted Helvetica. I then tried matlab version 2024a and suddenly everything was ok again (everything was readable). Thanks for your help.
Best,
Ralf
