Calculating the Surface Area of an ROI
Hi all,
I need to calculate the surface area of my ROIs. I can't seem to figure this out!
Ultimately, I need to generate a single number for ROIs in niftii format. These ROIs are manually drawn based on anatomy and contain 100-1000 voxels, so this calculation needs to be automated.
This will be a part of a much larger script I need to be compatible with all of our lab computers, so I'd prefer to use one of, or a combination of, these software packages: Freesurfer, AFNI, FSL.
So far, I've been able to turn these ROIs into a Freesurfer surface with "mri_tesselate -a", but am stuck here otherwise. I am not tied to this pipeline but wanted to mention it.
Any thoughts? Is there a way to do this calculation?
Thank you!
