Dear Rob,

Yes, exactly, the k3 values for each subject&condition are the effect-sizes entered in your second-level analyses to evaluate potential between-condition and/or between-group differences in the associated task-modulation effects. They are also the effect-size values imported for each subject&condition when using the "import values" or "display values" buttons in the corresponding second-level results explorer window.
