Thanks for your reply. Yes, I do look at the first N by N part of the Z matrix (for each participant), and still not all elements of "Z-transpose(Z)" are zero (the differences are of the order of 10^(-2 or -3).
If I want to use Z as my weight matrix for a network of the seed ROIs, what should I do with the non-equal off diagonal elements? Take the average of them?
