Understanding the ICA.timeseries.mat file
Hello Conn Community,
I'm still somewhat new to Conn, and have a question about the ICA.timeseries.mat file. I wasn't able to find this information in the forum or the recently published (and very helpful) handbook.
Specifically, I was wondering if someone could help me understand the 'data' and 'weights' components of the ICA.timeseries.mat file. I have 68 subjects (180 volumes each), and 40 factors were extracted per the group-ICA method.
Within 'data' (1x68 cell), there seems to be a 180x40 matrix for each patient - could somebody please clarify what these values represent? And within 'weights' (68x1 cell), there is a 1x5 cell for each patient, which then opens up into five 180x1 cells per patient- could somebody also please help me figure out what these values represent?
My ultimate goal is to be able to export some timeseries data for each component into statistical software (where it is to be used as a predictor). I'm having trouble understanding what values (if any) would be appropriate to export for said purpose.
I hope the way I've framed my question makes sense.
Looking forward to feedback and thanks in advance,
Bhanu
