ANCOVA or Multiple Regression
Dear Alfonso, CONN users,
I've examined the GLM page on the CONN website, but I am having difficulty understanding whether my model qualifies as a 3-way interaction ANCOVA or multiple regression.
Between-subjects contrast
All Subjects
Group A
BDI (quantitative scale)
BDI*Group A (interaction variable)
[0 0 0 1]
Between-conditions contrast
Pre-
Post-
[-1 1; 1 -1]
What I want to examine is whether or not there is an interaction between group and BDI scores when predicting changes in connectivity. In other words, whether group moderates the association between BDI and changes in connectivity/outcome.
I found a significant cluster. I notice on the display effects page a t test comparing BDI*Group A Pre- and BDI*Group A Post- effect sizes. Does this then mean that my analysis was an ANCOVA with the added factor of time (levels: Pre- and Post-)? Or is it still a multiple regression of a BDI*Group interaction when predicting differences in connectivity?
Thanks! I always appreciate the responses.
