Ratings/Long-term Prospects Comments: | E-Prime is a powerful and useful tool for psychological research. There is a bit of a learning curve with the program, but the support staff and online samples/resources are very helpful when using E-Prime. The interface enables people who do not know how to code to create simple, precise experiments. However, a background in coding - or at least the ability to take samples from the website and adapt them to one's needs - enables an individual to do much more sophisticated things with E-Prime.

Other Comments/Similar Tools: | The program does crash, which can become frustrating very easily. Saving frequently is definitely good advice when working with E-Prime. Also, it seems like standard logging is not always set as the default, even when an input on a slide has been added - always triple check that the logging you need is set properly to avoid running a bunch of participants and then ending up with missing data.

Ratings/Long-term Prospects Comments: | we're a little disappointed that E-Prime 2.0 is not in a "Final" release by now. It does not really have any effect on our ability to create experiments, but it just seems long over due.
We have otherwise been happy with E-Prime at our site. We are long time users and have many people with a high level of expertise and experience. Installs easy, the documentation is a bit outdated, but support/forum has been quick to help when needed. |
