RE: draw ROI in som8
Hi Shaheen,
If your data is 'normalized' (in MNI-space), you may use any of the ROIs provided in the CONN toolbox (e.g. BA areas, standard 'default-state' ROIs, etc.) If your data is not normalized or if you are interested in the connectivity with other specific ROIs, you need to define those ROIs then simply enter them in the Setup.ROIs tab. For example, if your ROIs are defined anatomically (e.g. spheres around MNI coordinates) you may use wfu_pickatlas or MRIcro to define these. If, on the other hand, your ROIs are functionally defined (e.g. suprathreshold clusters from other analyses) you may simply create the corresponding mask files (e.g. using SPM, xjView, or conn_display). In any of these cases CONN should be able to correctly interpret the generated ROI files (and if they contain multiple clusters CONN will use each separate cluster as a different seed/ROI).
Let me know if you run into any specific issues when doing this.
Hope this helps
Alfonso
ps. please consider avoiding the word 'urgent' in your communications; it is safe to assume that researchers are, by definition, under pressing deadlines :)

Hello All,
I am new to spm8 software. I was able to perform pre - processing on the data. I need to perform connectivty on resting state, so I downloaded the conn software.
Now how do I need to draw ROI in SPM and make it readable to conn software?
I need urgent help so that I can finish my project on time.
Thanks,
Shaheen
