I am sure Andy is going to comment on this as well, but my understanding is that the license is per lab, not per person. To quote from the license:

"You may not share or distribute the Labeled Scans to any third party outside of your research group."

So your advisor would need only one license for all his/her postdocs, graduate students, etc.
